SEU Parking Portal

The information and regulations herein apply to all SEU faculty, staff and students. In order to provide access to parking on campus, it is essential for all users of the campus parking facilities to read and fully understand these regulations.

  • SEU's Security Department is responsible for the administration and enforcement of these regulations and may impose traffic control restrictions as required.
  • Parking on campus is by permit only throughout the year including break periods. A valid SEU parking decal must be displayed at all times. Cars must be parked only in white lined spaces.
  • Overnight visitor parking is not permitted without approval from Residence Life Staff and a valid Temporary permit. Please contact the Security Gatehouse on x4090 for a Temp Visitor's Pass, which is only valid until 10:00 a.m. the next morning.
  • SEU is not responsible for any damage or theft which may occur to vehicles or contents while parked on campus. Vehicle owners park at their own risk.
  • Campus Speed Limit is 15 MPH

Vehicle Registration and Parking Decal

Operation of a motor vehicle on campus is a privilege that may be withdrawn for failure to comply with the regulations stated. Vehicles must display a valid decal. Any vehicle on campus after 1:00 a.m. without a valid decal will be subject to towing at the owner's expense. Decals may be obtained by clicking here and completing the online information required. The vehicle registration process to obtain a valid parking decal is managed by you.

Handicapped Parking

Handicapped parking is administered by the State of New Jersey and is monitored by the local police. Only State approved and issued handicapped stickers and tags are valid for parking in the handicapped designated spaces around campus. SEU's Wellness Center does administer Temporary Handicapped placards for staff members needing temporary privileges.

Local law enforcement have jurisdiction over these parking spaces and cars illegally parked are subject to ticketing and towing. Quick errands, deliveries or drop-offs are not valid excuses for parking in these designated spaces.

Violations and Towing

Local municipalities patrol the campus on a regular basis. They will ticket and/or tow illegally parked cars and will ticket for speeding. Using emergency flashers does not allow drivers to illegally park their vehicles, particularly in handicapped spaces, fire lanes, at yellow curbs, etc.

The following actions will be considered violations of campus parking regulations that will result in towing and/or fines:

  • Parking in fire lanes or by fire hydrants (Subject to immediate towing)
  • Abandoned vehicles
  • Parking in areas designated "For Authorized Personnel Only"
  • Parking in a handicapped space without displaying proper state license plate, placard or hang tag
  • No SEU decal or expired decal
  • Student parking in faculty or staff spots
  • Speeding in excess of the campus speed limit of 15 MPH
  • Failure to register a vehicle
  • Staff or faculty parking in designated student parking areas only
  • Municipal fire regulations require that fire lanes be kept clear to all buildings at all times.
  • Towing is performed by an off-campus vendor. It is the owner's responsibility for payment of any towing, storage and retrieval fees.

The fines for tickets issued by Campus Security will be applied to the student’s account for payment. The fines are as follows:

  • For every offense - $50
