One of the hallmarks of the undergraduate program is the general education curriculum.
The Saint Elizabeth University General Education program seeks to equip and empower
students as leaders for the twenty-first century. The General Education curriculum
begins with cohort-based seminars that help build community and common knowledge among
incoming students. Subsequent courses offer essential knowledge and skills in such
areas as communication and media literacy, qualitative and quantitative approaches
to information, critical thinking, and holistic self-awareness. All General Education
courses come from current majors and minors across the University, allowing students
to sample the foundational knowledge in a wide range of fields.
Please note the new curriculum for undergraduate students starting in the 2023-2024
academic year and after. Select from the options below to review the mission, outcomes,
and requirements by academic year.
