Academic Calendar

Saint Elizabeth University reserves the right to change courses, programs, and the academic calendar, or to make other changes deemed necessary, giving advance notice of change when possible. The Academic Calendar follows a semester policy based on fifteen (15) instructional weeks for each Fall and Spring Full session, factoring in breaks and holidays. Please see the Credit Hour Policy for information regarding required contact time for weekly Direct Instruction in courses. Student Study Time is equated to two (2) hours per week, per credit hour. Both Weekly Direct Instruction and Weekly Study Hours are increased proportionally for Accelerated 7-week and 12-week sessions, where applicable, as well as for Intersession and Summer sessions.

To ensure that credit hours are met, Direct Instruction for accelerated semesters may include a required integrated learning component of additional hours per semester of student engagement through supplemental activities and interactive work, ranging from review sessions to increased discussion forum participation. The Academic Calendar is set by the Office of the Registrar in accordance with University policies, and in consultation the Academic Affairs, Enrollment Management, Student Life, and the Offices Financial Aid, Facilities, and Student Success to ensure compliance and optimal benefit for students and the campus community.
