Figures & Faces Exhibit

During the March 29th Maloney Art Gallery reception for Figures & Faces, Diana Tyson, NJ art collector and SEU Instructor in the Business Department, discussed the Ethiopian images of New York City photographer, Glenda Jones, and the mixed media works by Mercy Moyo, painter and collage artist from Harare, Zimbabwe.

During the Spring Semester 2022, the Therese A. Maloney Art Gallery at Saint Elizabeth University presented an exhibition that examines how 20th and 21st century artists have depicted the human face and figure to express anguish; joy; cultural histories, meanings and messages; traditional values and practices; realistic problems; and aims and aspirations, through various styles and materials. We invite you to explore the artistry and ideas of: Adam Gatai, Tenjin Ikeda, Glenda Jones, Louis Mendez, Mercy Moyo, Samad Onque, Suliman Onque, Yvonne Onque & Doug Weigel. This exhibit was curated by Virginia Fabbri Butera, PhD, Director with special thanks to Prof. Diana Tyson.
