SEU Champions Next-Gen Trailblazers at Launch of Assemblywoman Aura K. Dunn’s Civic Leadership Fellowship
May 23, 2026

Cultivating the next generation of women leaders took center stage last night at the official launch of the Aura K. Dunn Civic Leadership Fellowship. The initiative, designed to empower and encourage young leaders in public service, government, and civic engagement, drew prominent figures from across New Jersey’s academic and political landscapes.
Driving this vital conversation forward were Sook May Ong ’01, Vice Chair of the Saint Elizabeth University (SEU) Board of Trustees, and Patricia Heindel, Ph.D., Associate Vice President of Academic Affairs and Dean of the School of Professional Studies at SEU, who actively stepped up to support and shape this new pathway for aspiring public servants.
Empowering the Next Generation
The newly minted fellowship will select one graduate student annually for a robust six-month experience. The fellow will shadow and learn directly from influential women leaders across the state, beginning in Assemblywoman Dunn’s legislative office before expanding to hands-on experiences within government, business, and nonprofit sectors.
