EOF Student Oluwayomi Alonge Breaks Barriers Through Scholarship and Service

EOFOn May 8, 2026, Saint Elizabeth University EOF student Oluwayomi Alonge was recognized as a 2026 scholarship recipient by the Mountain Lakes Affiliate of the American Association of University Women (AAUW), receiving a prestigious $5,000 scholarship in recognition of her academic excellence, leadership, and commitment to public service. The AAUW awarded a total of $10,000 in scholarships to two outstanding students this year. Oluwayomi, a Criminal Justice and Psychology major at Saint Elizabeth University, currently maintains an impressive 3.9 GPA while balancing numerous leadership roles on campus. In addition to serving as a math tutor, she also manages the university’s track team and aspires to pursue a career in law and public service. Oluwayomi’s achievement represents more than academic success; it is a testament to the power of perseverance, service, and educational opportunity.

The AAUW Mountain Lakes Area Branch scholarship supports women pursuing higher education in Morris County by helping students continue their academic journeys while preparing to become future leaders in their professions and communities.
