Saint Elizabeth University Master of Science in Physician Assistant Program Achieves Full Accreditation

Morristown, N.J., (April 24, 2024) – The Accreditation Review Commission on Education for the Physician Assistant, Inc. (ARC-PA) has granted Accreditation-Continued status to the Saint Elizabeth University Physician Assistant Program sponsored by Saint Elizabeth University. Accreditation-Continued is an accreditation status granted when a currently accredited program is in compliance with the ARC-PA Standards.

Accreditation remains in effect until the program closes or withdraws from the accreditation process or until accreditation is withdrawn for failure to comply with the Standards. The approximate date for the next validation review of the program by the ARC-PA will be March 2034. The review date is contingent upon continued compliance with the Accreditation Standards and ARC-PA policy.

The program’s accreditation history can be viewed on the ARC-PA website at http://www.arc-pa.org/accreditation-history-st-elizabeth-university/.

"This achievement underscores our unwavering commitment to excellence in medical education and the advancement of healthcare," said Medea Valdez, DHEd, PA-C, director of the SEU Physician Assistant program. "Transitioning from Accreditation-Provisional to Accreditation-Continued status solidifies Saint Elizabeth University's position among the PA programs nationwide recognized by ARC-PA."

Since its launch in fall 2019, the SEU PA program has cultivated a legacy of success, with 94 graduates as of December 2023. These accomplished physician assistants are making impactful contributions across diverse healthcare settings, including Primary Care, Emergency Medicine, and a variety of Surgical Sub-specialties.

Currently, more than 70 aspiring healthcare professionals are enrolled in the program.

"SEU's M.S. in Physician Assistant program is designed to empower students with the knowledge and skills necessary to deliver exemplary patient care and address the evolving needs of the healthcare landscape," added Dr. Valdez. "Our comprehensive curriculum encompasses 28 months of immersive training in our state-of-the-art on-campus facilities, as well as through intensive clinical rotations to prepare graduates for success in a variety of medical specialties."
