Voices of EOF: Students Honor the Educators Who Changed Their Lives at SEU
May 11, 2026
The Educational Opportunity Fund Program at Saint Elizabeth University proudly celebrated
excellence, leadership, and perseverance during its 5th Annual EOF Academic Awards
Ceremony, an evening dedicated to recognizing the remarkable accomplishments of EOF
scholars and the educators who continue to impact their lives. This year’s ceremony
honored 11 students inducted into the Sigma Theta Rho Honor Society, recognized 49
EOF Academic Achievement Awardees, celebrated 4 Special Award recipients, and acknowledged
70 graduating seniors preparing to cross the commencement stage on May 15. The event
reflected the strength, determination, and academic excellence that continue to define
the EOF community at Saint Elizabeth University.
One of the most memorable moments of the evening was the presentation of the Outstanding
Faculty Award to Professor Anne Langan, who was accompanied by her son. Selected by
EOF students and staff, this distinguished honor is presented to faculty members who
have provided exceptional service and support to students enrolled in their classes.
Dr Anne Langan has become known for her dedication to student achievement, encouragement,
and genuine care for the success of EOF scholars. Her ability to inspire and uplift
students has made a lasting impact across the university community.
The ceremony also recognized Michele Corsetti with the Outstanding Educator Award,
an honor presented to a university educator who has demonstrated extraordinary commitment
to the EOF Program and its students. Chosen by EOF students and staff, Michele Corsetti,
accompanied by her husband, was celebrated for her continued advocacy, mentorship,
and support of student success. The evening served as a powerful reminder that EOF
is more than an academic support program, it is a family built on encouragement, opportunity,
and a shared commitment to helping students overcome barriers and achieve their dreams.
