While we continue to make your orientation a blast, we have provided you with some pertinent information that we'd like you to know about your orientation.

ORIENTATION 2024


August 21st (DAY 1)

Welcome to your 1st Official Day as an Eagle!

Resident Check In:
9am-11am Last Names A-M...................Mahoney Library
11am-1pm Last Names N-Z...................Mahoney Library

Commuter Check In:
2:30pm-4:30pm.................Mahoney Library 
Note: There will be a Commuter Activity at 5pm
5pm- Parent Orientation………………Dolan Performance Hall
5:45pm- Welcome and Blessing…….Dolan Performance Hall

Immediately following the blessing, all are invited to join us for a BBQ. This is a great opportunity for families to have one last meal with their students before departing and for students to meet and mingle.

8pm- Families Depart

At this time resident students will meet with the members of their floor and their RAs to get to know each other and review the policies of the halls. 


August 22nd (DAY 2)

Happy Day 2 as an Eagle!

10:15am- Team Introductions……….The Main Gym
12pm- SEU on a Mission……..…The Main Gym
2:30pm- Student Activities……..Campus

Following the wide array of activities planned around campus students will have the opportunity to check out and join the clubs and organizations that are available to them in an interactive club fair.5pm- Substance Abuse Presentation…..Dolan Performance Hall

After the Substance Abuse Presentation students will get a sneak peak of a Food Truck Friday event. Here they will not only have a choice of a meal from different food trucks, but also the opportunity to play some outdoor games.

8pm- Evening Entertainment………..Location TBD 


August 23rd (DAY 3)

10:15am- Academic Presentation………Dolan Performance Hall
1pm- Closing Activity……..The Main Gym
4:45pm- Spirit of NJ

As a thank you for choosing SEU, a long standing tradition is to go on a boat ride around Manhattan island. This is a great opportunity to once again get to know one another and to enjoy a truly memorable experience. While dressing up is not a requirement many students do wear semi formal attire. 


SEPTEMBER 7th

9am- Eagles Day of Service

As part of your orientation, new students are asked to complete a service requirement. This year it was decided that we would have a separate day of service outside of the 3 day orientation period. We ask that all new students save this date and plan to attend.
