The Accreditation Review Commission on Education for the Physician Assistant, Inc.
(ARC-PA) has granted Accreditation-Continued status to the Saint Elizabeth University
Physician Assistant Program sponsored by Saint Elizabeth University. Accreditation-Continued
is an accreditation status granted when a currently accredited program is in compliance
with the ARC-PA Standards.
Accreditation remains in effect until the program closes or withdraws from the accreditation
process or until accreditation is withdrawn for failure to comply with the Standards.
The approximate date for the next validation review of the program by the ARC-PA will
be March 2034. The review date is contingent upon continued compliance with the Accreditation
Standards and ARC-PA policy.

The PA Program matriculates one class each fall semester. Beginning in the Fall of 2021, classes will start in late August.
The PA Program is 28 months in length. The class entering in Fall 2021 will matriculate at the beginning of the fall semester with an expected graduation date of December 2023.
Master of Science
The SEU PA Program has been accredited to take up to 50 students in each cohort.
Applicants may apply prior to completing all admissions requirements but should include a plan for completion. Priority will be given to applications that are complete at time of application and those with a plan to complete all requirements by the application deadline.
The SEU PA Program Admissions Committee will consider AP courses as long as they are listed on the undergraduate transcript and count towards specific coursework at the undergraduate institution.

The SEU PA Program Admissions Committee will consider the most recent course grade.
Applicants must shadow a PA for a minimum of 16 hours. Shadowing a physician or any other healthcare provider will not be accepted in place of this requirement.
Applicants are expected to provide direct care to patients in a health-related capacity. This may be paid or volunteer.
Applicants must be able to demonstrate patient interaction and patient care responsibilities
(e.g. obtaining patient histories, patient assessment, performing diagnostic procedures,
patient education, etc.).
Examples of positions include EMT, paramedic, medical assistant, nursing professions,
PCA, surgical technician, dietician, athletic trainer, and PT aide.
Experience as a medical scribe will not be accepted unless responsibilities include
actual direct patient care (e.g. obtaining the history and/or vital signs, providing
patient education, etc.).
