Application Instructions

All prospective applicants must apply through Dietetics Inclusive Centralized Application Services (DICAS)

The combined M.S. in Nutrition/Dietetic Internship (MS/DI) Program participates in the Dietetics Inclusive Centralized Application System (DICAS). Applicants to the Dietetic Internship Program are therefore applying to both the Dietetic Internship and the M.S. in Nutrition programs. Applicants accepted in the DI will complete additional University application requirements upon acceptance of the position in the program.

Program Positions and Concentrations

The MS/DI program has 20 positions enrolled each year with two different concentrations:

  • Entrepreneurial Nutrition Practice Concentration
  • Community and Public Health Nutrition Concentration

All students applying to the MS/DI must have a minimum of a bachelor’s degree from a U.S. regionally accredited college or university or foreign equivalent and a Verification Statement from a Didactic Program in Dietetics (DPD), meeting requirements of the Accreditation Council for Education in Nutrition and Dietetics. Applicants must successfully complete these requirements prior to the MS/DI start date.

If DPD Verification will be completed after the application date, the application must submit a signed Intent to Complete statement indicating any courses that are yet to complete at the time of application.

Individuals who have a master’s degree and DPD Verification may be considered for a direct-to-DI pathway. Please contact the Interim DI Director, Monica Luby, at mluby@steu.edu or 973-290-4092.
