Graduate Student Learning Outcomes
As a result of completing a graduate degree at Saint Elizabeth University, students
will:
- Have mastery of advanced knowledge and understanding of the principles and concepts,
and the skill sets (intellectual, practical, and creative) relevant for exceptional
performance in, and contribution to, their discipline.
- Integrate ethical, responsible, and multicultural-competent practices in a manner
that is consistent with the Mission and Values of SEU and the professional, ethical,
and legal codes of their discipline/profession.
- Demonstrate the ability to work collaboratively with others as part of a team or group,
by employing positive attitudes about the team or group, articulating clear goals
with accountability, and supporting timely completion and assessment,.
- Apply self-awareness - the ability to see an accurate view of one's own strengths
and needs, including one's impact on others. A willingness to increase self-efficacy
through reflective, self-directed life-long learning.
- Model servant-leadership and practice and articulate a personal philosophy of leadership
in order to promote a more just society, as well as adapting new leadership approaches
to optimize individual and organizational effectiveness and success.
- Effectively evaluate and implement the technologies and tools applicable to their
discipline/profession.
- Communicate cogently via spoken and written forms, consistent with the format and
style guidelines of their discipline/profession.
- Conduct quantitative and/or qualitative research at a graduate level, and integrate
research findings into practice. Draw valid implications and conclusions, contributing to more accurate problem solving
and subsequent recommendations for the profession.
