October 28th: Dr. Mehnaz Afridi Noon Zoom
Mehnaz Afridi is a leading Holocaust scholar who speaks internationally on the Shoah. Dr. Afridi is the Director of the Holocaust, Genocide and Interfaith Education Center at Manhattan University. Author of the remarkable The Shoah Through Muslim Eyes, Dr. Afridi also teaches courses including "Muslims and the Holocaust," "Religion and the Holocaust," and "Genocide and the Holocaust." She will discuss the need for greater interfaith cooperation in Holocaust and genocide education.
November 7th: Dr. Rafael Medoff

Internationally respected Holocaust author, educator, and lecturer Rafael Medoff will speak to honor the legacy of Kristallnacht, the “Night of Broken Glass” on November 9th-10th, 1938. Dr. Medoff is the founding director of The David Wyman Institute for Holocaust Studies, based in Washington, D.C. which focuses on issues related to America's response to the Holocaust. His latest texts include Cartoonists Against Racism: The Secret Jewish War on Bigotry and Whistleblowers: Four Who Fought to Expose the Holocaust to America.

Karen Frankel and Marcia Rock

Researcher and technology journalist Karen Frankel will share and discuss the film Family Treasures: Lost and Found. The film explores Karen’s quest to detail her family history in pre-World War II Poland through the horrors of the Holocaust. Joined by the film’s director Marcia Rock, there will be a Question-and-Answer session following the screening of the documentary.
