Getting Started
Our office is ready to assist you with the Academic Internship process. First, familiarize yourself with the Academic Internship requirements and the Academic Internship Handbook. Next, schedule a meeting with your faculty advisor to discuss your internship requirements and to confirm the number of credit hours needed. Following that meeting, please make an appointment with Joe Pastino at jpastino@steu.edu for internship readiness assistance.
It is your responsibility to find an internship before the semester begins, which will require you to contact employers, complete an application process, and participate in an interview. We strongly recommend that you give yourself a minimum of 4 months to find an appropriate internship.
Professional Communication
Communication is an essential career skill. When you participate in an academic internship,
you are representing both yourself and Saint Elizabeth University. Therefore, it
is of utmost importance to conduct yourself in a professional manner. Contact SEU
Career Services for assistance with resume development, mock interviews, and professional
communication in the workplace.
