Welcome to Residence Life!
Welcome to living on campus at Saint Elizabeth University! Residence Life is excited
to have you living with us.
Living on campus and becoming involved in the campus community can be one of the most
rewarding experiences of college. It extends your education beyond the classroom and
offers important opportunities for engagement with your residential community. When
you live on campus, you are always home. Your SEU home is not just your room, it includes
all the people who make being an Eagle such a special part of your college experience.
From the President, to the dining hall staff, to your Resident Assistant, to the professors,
to the librarians, to the custodian in your residence hall – each person is an integral
part of the community you call home. Residence Life staff members at SEU are committed
to partnering with residents to create engaging environments in the residence halls
where you will make everlasting memories and discover new friendships.
Resident Assistants and Resident Coordinators have been carefully selected and trained
to create welcoming and inclusive living environments that are conducive to students’
academic, personal and social endeavors.
By living on campus, you will interact with people who are talented and unique. You
will meet people whose experiences, values, and priorities are different than your
own. The residential community is a supportive environment where there is an appreciation
of individual differences and a respect for individual rights. We hope you learn about
your own diversity as well as that of our campus.
Living on campus puts students within walking distance of campus resources, including
classes, the library, the dining hall, and recreation facilities. Wireless internet
access, air conditioning and free laundry facilities are included with your room fees.
Living on campus also comes with a full dining plan of 19 meals per week throughout
the academic year.
We invite you to get involved! Students at SEU may choose to pursue opportunities
to learn and practice leadership skills by becoming Resident Assistants, members of
the Residence Hall Council (RHC), the Judicial Board, or work as a Hall receptionist.
To be an involved student is to be a connected student. Research shows, students who
are more involved on campus have higher GPAs, graduate in four years, and perform
better academically. Get involved in your residence hall today!
The staff are here to encourage you, support you, challenge you, and inspire you to
develop into the best version of yourself. Feel free to contact us – by phone (973)
