If you have class during your selection time to pick your room, you will need to get
a proxy to fill in for you. You are not allowed to miss class for room selection!
Please email Jason Greenhouse (jgreenhouse@steu.edu) with the person who will choose a room for you by Monday, April 27. Please know
that whatever room your friend chooses will be the room you will live in. If you are
having trouble finding someone to pick for you, please let us know that as well.
Please note: if you are looking to choose a double room with a friend, the person
with the earlier time will choose the room for both roommates. Please notify us in
an email by Monday, April 27, stating: who you want to room with, full name and ID
number, and who will be picking the room. Please remember that you are rooming with
your friend and that he/she will be choosing the room for both of you.
The $200 room deposits will not be due until Monday, June 15. Please note: if you
are part of the EOF program, you do not pay a housing deposit. Housing Deposits can
only be paid through your Self-Service account during this time via a debit or credit card (there may be a surcharge associated
with this payment). If you need to pay by cash/check/money order, please contact us
so we can work with you.
Class registration for the Fall semester is currently open. Hopefully, everyone has
either registered for classes or is in the process of doing so. You will need to be
registered for classes no later than Monday, June 15, 2020. Courses in your cart do
not count as being registered.
You need to be registered for a full-class load (12 credits or more) for the Fall
semester. However, due to the pandemic, SEU has increased how much you can have on
your bill and still be able to register. This year, if you owe money to the school
and it is under $1,700, you will be able to register for classes for the Fall 2020
semester. If your bill is $1,700 or greater, or if you have any questions about your
bill, please contact the Bursar Office.
If you do not pay your housing deposit or are not registered by June 15, you will
lose your room assignment. This does not mean you cannot get it back after you pay,
but understand that if someone pays their housing deposit before you, they can choose
your room as all rooms will be available on a first-come, first-served basis. We do
not hold rooms.
By choosing a room during Room Selection, you are agreeing to the following: due to
the current state we are in with the COVID-19 pandemic, all NJ Colleges and Universities
are operating under the direction of the NJ Governor's Office.
The Office of Residence LIfe reserves the right to move anyone out of their room assignment
and relocate them to another room of our choosing to follow the directives from the
Governor's Office. We will do so without asking for permission, but we will notify
you of your new room assignment.
