Speech-Language Pathology
The National Student Speech Language Hearing Association is a national student organization
for individuals pursuing careers in speech-language pathology, audiology, and communication
sciences and disorders. As the student affiliate of the American Speech-Language-Hearing
Association, NSSLHA supports the development of future professionals through opportunities
for connection, leadership, and professional growth.
At Saint Elizabeth University, our NSSLHA chapter is dedicated to fostering a collaborative
and inclusive environment that reflects the diverse, multilingual, and multicultural
communities we serve. Students have the opportunity to build meaningful connections
with peers, faculty, and professionals in the field while engaging in activities that
promote cultural awareness, advocacy, and clinical excellence.
NSSLHA also provides a strong foundation for leadership development, empowering students
to take active roles within the chapter, contribute to program initiatives, and grow
as confident, culturally responsive clinicians.
Students interested in joining can become members at the national level through the
NSSLHA website and are encouraged to participate in our campus chapter to stay engaged
locally! For more information on how to get involved, please contact our current President
Melany Guerrero mguerrero01@steu.edu and/or advisor Dr. Siena Sun ssun@steu.edu.
