Program Overview
The Master of Arts in Counseling Psychology at Saint Elizabeth University is a 30-credit
foundational program that also offers students the option to specialize in mental
health counseling and school counseling. Additionally, applicants who already hold
a graduate degree in counseling can apply as visiting students to complete course
work required for certification or licensure.
The counseling psychology curriculum provides a solid professional foundation for
all students – whether seeking to enter a doctoral program, or seeking professional
expertise in school counseling or mental health counseling. The curriculum encourages
students to consider the helping relationship in light of current trends and challenges
and will help develop the expertise to meet these challenges.

- Visiting students may complete coursework required for certification or licensure.

- Provides a rigorous foundation in research and quantitative methods, particularly in outcomes assessment.

For International Students:
- Official transcripts from all post-secondary institutions. International transcripts must be evaluated by NACES (i.e. WES) on a course by course basis.
- TOEFL/IELTS (if necessary)
